Free Preparedness Training for Community Agencies
Organization: City of Philadelphia
Date: 06.24.10
This summer, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) Bioterrorism and Public Health Preparedness Program is offering a FREE Health Preparedness Handbook training for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs). The goal of this training is to provide CBOs with relevant health-related preparedness information they can share with their communities.

The 2-hour training will follow a full-color personal preparedness PDPH handbook entitled Everybody Ready: Emergency Planning for Individuals and Families. Training participants will receive a certificate of participation and extra materials to share with their communities.

In order to taylor the training to meet your community’s health needs and interests, brief assessment interviews will be conducted with interested organizations from June 28 through July 9. The trainings will be held from July 12 through 30.

If your CBO is interested in participating, please contact Chad Thomas by July 19 via email to chad.thomas@phila.gov or call 215-685-6459.
