Providing quality care, programs, resources and support for America's aging population has become an exceptional challenge in the 21st century – and nowhere more so than in Philadelphia, which has a larger percentage of seniors than any of the 20 largest cities in the nation. Save the Date: March 26, 2012 – PCA's 2012 M. Powell Lawton Conference on Urban Aging & Award Luncheon
Members of the aging network and community leaders are invited to the conference. 'Aging in Community: Three Models.' The Lawton Award will be presented to Fredda Vladeck, founding director of the first NORC supportive service program in 1986 and current director of Aging in Place Initiative of the United Hospital Fund (NY). As the largest Area Agency on Aging in Pennsylvania and the fourth largest in the nation, PCA offers excellent job opportunities in many fields, including care management, assessment, nurse consultants, information technology, and administration.
